The Lakers participated in their first practice of the week on Tuesday afternoon, one in which the Lakers will have four days off between games, and Steve Nash was on the court today for the first time since only playing 13 minutes in the Lakers 113-90 loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The team participated in a full court, five-on-five scrimmage today and Nash participated briefly before being removed for precautionary reasons.
Steve Nash did participate in practice today. 5-on-5. He's not out on the court now.

Lakers decided to pull him off the court today (which is why he's not out there practicing right now)but not b/c of any specific limitations

Nash back on the floor for the Lakers is great news considering that Jordan Farmar is out for four weeks and Steve Blake is dealing with a hyper-extended elbow.
Without Nash or Farmar, the Lakers are without a backup point guard, and it was evident in todays practice as Xavier Henry was playing point guard for the grey squad. Nash doesn’t believe that he’ll play on Friday, but says he’s progressing toward a return.
Nash is talking about general improvement and “being on the right path,” but sounds like it’ll be some time yet before he plays.

Nash called himself “very doubtful” for Friday. Lakers don’t want him to jeopardize the whole season by rushing back until he’s healthy.

In the mean time, Henry might continue running the point with the second unit and the Lakers could potentially look for a replacement at backup point guard if Nash is unable to return soon.
