The Captain Updates His Health – Cancer is ‘Minimal’

Earlier this week Kareem Abdul-Jabbar announced through his Twitter account that he was ‘cancer free.’ Today he has stated that it was a misstatement, and changed his standing.

“You’re never really cancer free and I should have known that. My cancer right now is at an absolute minimum.”

Abdul-Jabbar went on to state that it was not life threatening at this point. This is a great sign for the Laker legend, as he feared the worst when he was first diagnosed with leukemia.
