Turkish Team Besiktas Targeting Lakers’ Lamar Odom

ESPN’s Marc Stein has reported that the Turkish team that was formerly interested in adding Kobe Bryant to their roster is now looking at a different member of the Los Angeles Lakers, Lamar Odom.

Besiktas is reportedly targeting Odom after Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love declined their offer last week. According to Stein Odom is strongly considering the offer to play with New Jersey Nets guard Deron Williams in Istanbul.

If Odom does accept the offer he will join forward Pau Gasol as members of the Lakers playing overseas during the lockout.

If the name Besiktas sounds familiar to you it is probably because they’re the team that offered Bryant $600,000 per game to play in Turkey during the lockout.
