After working out numerous prospects these last two weeks for their late first round and early second round picks, the Los Angeles Lakers will be working out Emmanuel Mudiay on Saturday.

Before the workout on Saturday, the basketball operations department spent Friday evening dining with Mudiay via their official Twitter account:

While all the discussion has been about Karl-Anthony Towns and Jahlil Okafor for the first two picks in the 2015 NBA Draft, Mudiay and D’Angelo Russell could still be options. In a time where point guards are dominating the league, the Lakers could use another young guard in addition to Jordan Clarkson, who was recently named to the All-Rookie First Team.
After spending this past season in China, Mudiay will only work out for one other team in the Minnesota Timberwolves, who have convinced him that he will be under ‘serious consideration’ for the first pick.
