Lakers guards Nick Young and Jeremy Lin took over Santa Claus duty at this year’s holiday party for kids at Toyota Sports Center, handing out gifts and taking photos with the kids. From playing games like Jenga and Connect Four to serving up food for 100 kids from a local charter school, the Lakers all stopped by to hang out with the kids after Lakers practice.
Since 2000, the Lakers have used “A Season of Giving” to assist thousands of children and adults. Partnered with East West Bank, this year’s events included a Thanksgiving Feast, a Thanksgiving turkey giveaway, this holiday party for kids, and a gift “shopping” event with the US Marine Corps Toys For Tots program.
