The Los Angeles Lakers knew what they were getting with Brandon Ingram when they drafted him with the No. 2 pick in the 2016 NBA draft – a versatile, high basketball IQ, smooth forward with talents that in some ways resembled that of Kevin Durant. When NBA Summer League in Las Vegas tipped off in July, there was a piqued interest in how Ingram would fare, especially in tandem alongside another key future Lakers piece, in D’Angelo Russell.

Ingram was smooth and reserved in his debut game, finishing with 12 points, four rebounds and two blocked shots. He continued to take what felt like a much more reserved role in the next three games as he struggled to find his shot. But, once the final game hit, and without Russell or Larry Nance Jr. on the floor to take control, Ingram came into his own.

In his final Summer League performance, Ingram left the floor with 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting, five rebounds, and four assists. Watch all of his highlights from the summer in our video above.
