Video: Jason Kidd Tells Tyshawn Taylor “Hit Me”

The Los Angeles Lakers played a thriller Wednesday night against the shorthanded Brooklyn Nets, but fortunately pulled off a 99-94 win. The Nets faced a large deficit in the first quarter due to the hot shooting from the Lakers, especially from behind the arc.

Brooklyn slowly chipped away at the lead and eventually tied the game with only a few minutes remaining. However, as the seconds ticked away the Nets were in desperate need of a point but did not have a timeout to use. Then, rookie coach Jason Kidd pulled off perhaps the most clever move we have seen from a first-year coach.

Kidd instructed Tyshawn Taylor to bump into him, which caused his drink to spill all over the court. Not only did this allow Kidd to draw up a play for his Nets, but it was also a great way to ice Jodie Meeks at the free throw line.
