VIDEO: Jeremy Lin Describes Misaligned Back, ‘6-8 Inches To The Side’

Los Angeles Lakers head coach Byron Scott did not expect that point guard Jeremy Lin would be able to play in the game against the Utah Jazz on Thursday night. During Wednesday’s practice, Lin took what he described as a “bad hit,” which significantly misaligned his back.

I was probably like 6-8 inches to the side. But, the training staff, did an unbelievable job. They did everything they could and got me on the floor, and I think we were all a little surprised.”

Scott credited Lin for getting out on the court and playing through what the Lakers officially labeled back spasms, but after the game said he does not expect Lin to do much of anything at practice on Friday. Lin said he plans to rest on Friday and get treatment and hopes that by Saturday he’ll be feeling back to normal and be able to play in Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Lin was also asked about the Lakers garnering their 50th loss of the season. Lin said the team plans to play the next 15 games as if they have 50 wins. It’s all in our video above.
