Jeremy Lin also chipped in 14 points to go along with five assists and three turnovers and said he thought the Lakers competed well. Before the game, head coach Byron Scott he had just one message for the team, “[expletive] compete.”

Whether or not Tuesday night felt like a rivalry game was once again the topic of conversation. Scott said that in order for there to be a rivalry, both teams have to be good, and he acknowledged that while the Clippers are in that category, the Lakers are not.

Lin agreed with Scott, in that, this game did not feel like a rivalry.

To be honest it feels just like another game,” Lin said. “When I go out there, it does not feel like a rivalry.”

In the video above Lin also discusses the Clippers success, and how they put each player in “a position to succeed.” Plus, Lin comments on how he thinks rookie Jordan Clarkson is learning from battling against Chris Paul.

The Lakers loss to the Clippers was their 57th this season, the worst in franchise history.
