VIDEO: Jersey Mikes Employee Thinks Kendall Marshall Is A Laker Fan

While the Lakers are currently in the process of looking for a new head coach after Mike D’Antoni resigned last week, questions remain over which players will be on the roster next season. One of the brighter moments for the Lakers this past season was the emergence of Kendall Marshall.

Marshall joined the Lakers in December after injuries left the Lakers without a healthy point guard. The Lakers provided Marshall the chance to shine after he failed to get productive minutes for the Suns and getting cut by the Wizards. In 54 games, Marshall averaged 8.0 points and 8.8 assists while shooting 39.9 percent on three-pointers.

Despite his breakout season, not everyone is aware what the Laker point guard looks like. Marshall visited a Jersey Mikes sandwich shop Tuesday and wasn’t recognized by the store employee. Instead of realizing Marshall played for the Lakers, he thought Marshall was a typical fan wearing Laker clothes.

Marshall’s contract for next year is non-guaranteed and is worth just shy of $1 million. The Lakers will be deciding whether to keep Marshall or waive his deal.
