With the Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers facing off against each other Monday night, the result had important NBA lottery implications. The two teams entered as the league’s third and fourth worst teams. After a back and forth four quarters, the game went into overtime with the score tied at 102.

The Lakers seemed to pull away in overtime and held a six point lead with 1:40 to go. However, the 76ers wouldn’t go down quietly. Despite playing well for the rest of the night, Jordan Clarkson committed a costly turnover which allowed Philadelphia to continue their comeback.
Nerlens Noel brought his team back and tied the game at 111 a piece with 12 seconds remaining. Seemingly making up for his earlier turnover, Clarkson cut towards the rim while Wayne Ellington was trapped. Ellington found Clarkson open and delivered the pass as the rookie hit the layup with less than a second left. In addition to the game winning shot, Clarkson had an impressive night and recorded his first career double-double with 26 points and 11 assists.
