Michael Jordan, arguably the greatest player to ever play the game, was recently asked by 2K Sports what four guys in NBA history he’d like to play with on a five-man team.
The first player he chose of course was his running mate in Chicago in Scottie Pippen, but he went on to pick two Los Angeles Lakers. Jordan picked Magic Johnson and James Worthy as two of the players he would pick to be on his team. Rounding out his team, Jordan chose Rockets’ great Hakeem Olajuwon.
Jordan goes on to say that his team would be unbeatable and has no chance of losing. He did leave out one magnifying Laker in Kobe Bryant but there can only be room for one two-guard on the floor.
Johnson went on to lead the Lakers to five championships while Worthy went on to win three championships in his career, not to mention an NCAA title with Jordan while at the University of North Carolina. With 12 championships combined between Jordan and Pippen and Olajuwon winning two of his own, this team would have 22 championships combined.
