If you thought Dwight Howard might have a chance to take on the leading role this year, Kobe will be quick to tell you otherwise. At Lakers Media Day on Monday, Kobe Bryant reaffirmed that this is his team.
“I don’t get into the…oh you we share, no. It’s my team. I want to make sure that, Dwight, when I retire, this is going to be his. I want to teach him everything I possibly know so that when I step away, this organization can ride on as if I never left.”
Dwight Howard also discussed learning from Kobe Bryant and taking over the Lakers.
