With the Los Angeles Dodgers one win away from clinching the NL West division title on Wednesday, Los Angeles Lakers newcomer Jeremy Lin had the privilege throwing out the first pitch at Dodger Stadium.
Here’s some video of Lin getting loose and announcing “It’s time for Dodgers baseball” before taking the mound, via Lakers’ Vine account:
Lin is one of many current and former Lakers to take the mound at Chavez Ravine this year. Nick Young and Jordan Farmar got a chance to throw a ball over the plate back in April. Young’s pitch was arguably the worst of any Laker to date throwing the ball clear over All-Star Dee Gordon while Farmar made it look like it came easy.

New head coach Byron Scott also took the mound in August. Scott, much like Farmar, looked like a natural throwing out the pitch over the plate.
Rookie Julius Randle was the latest Laker before Baylor to put on a Dodgers jersey and step on the rubber at Chavez Ravine. Although it was more of a lob than a pitch, Randle at least got it to the catcher.
