VIDEO: Lakers’ Julius Randle Extending Range, Working On Three-Point Shot
Lakers Nation Roundtable: Which Veteran Is Most Likely To Be Traded?

A lot has been said about the hard work of the Los Angeles Lakers young nucleus of players this past offseason, as a lot of them worked out together every day at the Lakers practice facility.

One of the guys who was in the gym each day was power forward Julius Randle, who is entering his third season in the league although he missed all of his rookie season after breaking his right tibia in the season opener.

In his first full season last year Randle averaged 11.3 points and 10.2 rebounds while shooting 42.9 percent from the field.

While Randle is versatile, as he can bring the ball up the court as a power forward, which impressed first-year head coach Luke Walton in the first day of training camp, one aspect of the game that Randle has not yet developed is his three-point shot.

It appears Randle has worked on that this offseason, though, and is continuing to work on it during Lakers training Camp, as evident at 4:03 mark in the above video.

If Randle can develop a consistent three-point shot then he will begin drawing comparisons to another versatile big man that Walton coached the last couple of years, Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors, who also did not have a consistent three-point shot when he came into the league but has not developed into a complete player and a perennial All-Star.
