During Michael Cooper’s 13 years with the Lakers, he wasn’t necessarily known for his jumping ability. He was the 1987 Defensive Player of the year and made either the All NBA First or Second teams in eight of the years he was in the NBA. Cooper’s athleticism was better used sliding horizontally or coming over from the weak side to help on penetrating defenders — but he could throw them down from time-to-time.
Now, Cooper is 57-years-old, but he can still dunk. Coop donned his old number 21 in the Forum Blue and Gold and threw down a dunk for a small group and looked genuinely excited that he was still able to do it. Catch the video here.
