Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss attended the March for Our Lives event in the Los Angeles area Saturday as citizens from around the city and surrounding areas advocated for gun reform in the United States in the wake of the Parkland shooting.

Buss, who marched with a signs that said “PROTECT THE KIDS” and “NOT ONE MORE,” went live on video multiple times during the event, at one point speaking directly to the camera to describe the goals of the rally as “all about getting gun safety to protect our children” and repeating the chant of “no more silence, end gun violence.”

Joining Buss were a few friends, including Linda Rambis, the manager of special projects for the Lakers and wife of former Lakers coach and player Kurt Rambis.

Buss posted a photo and two videos of the event on her Twitter account:

Buss was far from alone in joining the rally. NBC Los Angeles estimated the turnout as in the thousands. She also wasn’t the only celebrity.

According to the L.A. Daily News, Mayor Eric Garcetti and comedian Amy Schumer were scheduled to speak at the demonstration in Los Angeles.

In addition, other rallies were slated to take place in Manhattan Beach, Santa Monica, Burbank, Pico Rivera, Long Beach and Santa Clarita. Los Angeles was also one of the numerous cities across the nation to have its local schools protest gun violence in nationwide walkout last week.
