According to Lakers head coach Byron Scott, assistant coach Paul Pressey had the privilege of purchasing the dolls for the rookies, who are expected to “take care” of the babies for the remainder of the season.

They are in charge of bringing them to every home game, making sure they are right by their locker. That the baby’s not crying or anything like that, and then after the game, can’t lose the baby,” Scott told the media before Sunday’s game.

Scott said this is something he did in Cleveland as well and had actually forgotten to purchase the babies for the Lakers rookies at the start of the season. Scott also expects the rookies to wear pink backpacks on game days. Scott even clarified that although Clarkson and Black will be finished with their baby duties at the end of the season, rookie Julius Randle, will be expected to take care of his doll next season.

After the Lakers loss to the Houston Rockets, rookie Clarkson talks about taking care of his new baby, which he has named after Rihanna. Plus, Tarik Black and Clarkson joke about who’s going to be a better father.
