Los Angeles Lakers forward Larry Nance Jr. is a high-fly act. The former Wyoming star was a relatively unknown player in Los Angeles until he became a regular on highlight reels due to his incredible ability to play above the rim.
As Lakers training camp came to a close on the campus of UC Santa Barbara this weekend, Nance couldn’t help but throw down at least one jaw-dropping dunk during one of the team’s scrimmages, via Shahan Ahmed of NBCLA.com.

In a move Lakers legend Kobe Bryant made famous a few years back, Nance went with an up fake at the free-throw line sending his defender flying by him and threw the ball high off the backboard to himself for the dunk. Nance made this move look at little too easy.
Nance’s dunks will likely be seen more and more over the course of his second season with the Lakers. The team’s high-flyer hasn’t ruled out the possibility of participating in the 2017 Slam Dunk Contest. Nance’s throwing his name into the mix for the dunk contest will depend on how healthy he is heading into NBA All-Star Weekend. He’s dealt with knee injuries during his basketball career and doesn’t want to jeopardize suffering an injury to compete in the contest in February.
