The season ended in April for the Los Angeles Lakers for the third consecutive season, thus giving the front office a head start on their offseason priorities. The Lakers have around $60 million to offer free agents this summer, making Los Angeles a prime landing spot for potential superstars.

Among the top-tier players who are set to become free agents is DeMar DeRozan of the Toronto Raptors, who has been rumored to have interest in joining the Lakers this summer.

Rumors about free agency will be coming from everywhere all summer, with each source claiming they know where the stars are going to land. Romeo Miller, who is more popularly known as Lil’ Romeo, played college ball with DeRozan at the University of Southern California and is known to be a good friend of his. The former rapper suggests that his former teammate will don the purple and gold next season via TMZ Sports

Romeo speaks in an encrypted manner as he claims he knows where Derozan will land this summer, but he does not explicitly say that he will be a Laker. In the video, Romeo says he knows where DeRozan is going, but he is still a Raptor right now.

The Raptors are currently in a tight series with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals, so free agency is the furthest thing on DeRozan’s mind. DeRozan will not likely shift his focus to free agency until after the Raptors’ playoff run comes to an end.
