VIDEO: Snoop Dogg Believes Jeanie Buss Can Turn Lakers Around

The Los Angeles Lakers remain one of the biggest names in all of sports while attracting several high-profile fans. Jack Nicholson and Flea can often be seen in Staples Center as the Lakers play their home games. Another prominent figure who openly cheers for the Lakers is rapper Snoop Dogg who is no stranger in sharing his opinions on his team.

He recently took to his Instagram to openly recruit Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook to the Lakers. Westbrook won’t hit free agency until 2017, but Snoop Dogg has other immediate concerns with the Lakers. While appearing on Power 106’s The Cruz Show, Snoop Dogg expressed his belief of Jeanie Buss being able to turn the Lakers’ fortunes around:

Jim Buss is currently the executive vice-president of basketball operations and has overseen personnel moves along with general manger Mitch Kupchak. As a result, many fans have used Jim Buss as a scapegoat for all the team’s recent troubles these past three seasons.

He has given himself a timetable to turn the Lakers back into contenders. Otherwise, he self admitted to stepping down from his position and letting someone else do it.

The Lakers await their draft fate with the NBA Draft Lottery being held May 19. Should the Lakers keep their protected-top five pick, the Lakers could add a young, talented prospect. The team also has plenty of cap space available to bring in free agents.
