The end is drawing near for veteran point guard Steve Nash in terms of his playing days in the NBA. The last two seasons have been brutal on Nash’s body and it appears the time may have come to retire than continue to battle through injuries.
In the third installment of Grantland’s The Finish Line, Nash responds to the constant criticism and plea from the fans to simply retire rather than draw out the process.

Clearly, Nash continues to struggle with the prospect of letting go and calling it a career. One part of this third installment from Grantland that is interesting is that Nash admits to holding on in order to get paid along with wanting to quiet his critics.
Ironically enough, the same day the third episode was released, Nash was shut down for the season by head coach Mike D’Antoni.
