The 2005-06 may not have been the best year for the Lakers as a team, but it was an epic season in the sense that every single night was a must watch for the potential of seeing something special from Kobe Bryant. From the 62 points through three quarters to the four-consecutive games of scoring at least 50 to him averaging 40 points points per game for two different months to dropping 81 points on the Raptors on one special night against Toronto. Kobe would average over 35 points per game in the 05-06 season, and like years before, would also produce some spectacular plays including an epic buzzer beater, a ridiculous floating reverse layup on the baseline and a dunk on the NBA’s MVP from that season.
