Video: Why Do Kobe and Dwight Howard Want to Live in Newport Coast?

Serena Winters
1 Min Read

Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters took a trip down to Orange County to see why Dwight Howard just coughed up $20 million for a Newport Coast mansion. Kobe Bryant and recently acquired Dwight Howard are about to be more than just teammates, the duo might also be neighbors in the Pelican Crest Community.

With the practice facility in El Segundo being just 44 miles away and home game central (Staples Center) 49 miles away, how is Dwight Howard expected to be ready for each game? Well…just the same way Kobe prepares for each practice…with a helicopter!

Check out exactly how Kobe Bryant makes his way to every practice and home game. Plus, take a sneak peak at the high-end shopping, secluded beaches, private roads, and everything else Newport Coast has to offer to our highly prized purple and gold.

I’m still curious as to how the whole helicopter-pooling thing works…
