The Los Angeles Lakers will head into the 2014-15 NBA season with a few new faces on the roster. All eyes will be on rookie Julius Randle with hopes he’ll be a star in the making, but fellow Jordan Clarkson is already turning heads with training camp less than a week away.
Clarkson made an impression during the NBA Summer League a few months ago convincing many that the Lakers got a steal with the 48th overall pick in the draft. The Missouri product has continued show promise by putting in work at the practice facility over the last few weeks.
On Tuesday, Clarkson showed his athleticism with a thunderous dunk at the Lakers practice facility, via Lakers’ Vine account:
With minutes potentially up for grabs in the backcourt next season, Clarkson has an opportunity to play a considerable role on this team. Clarkson will likely be used as a combo guard with the ability to play both positions in the backcourt. The rookie could find his way in the rotation by first making an impression on defense.
